Aims

a) To be the lead association and federations of the Wheelchair Cricket in India.
b) To promote community participation for both men and women with physical impairment and healthy recreation in particular by the provision of facilities for training and playing of Wheelchair Cricket in the all the States and U.T.
c) To develop, promote and encourage drug free Wheelchair Cricket, as approved and recognized by Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and other recognized organizations, in all manifestations among the people with physical impairment in Punjab.
d) To encourage the formation of Regional, State, District or other Wheelchair Cricket Associations and the organization of Intra-State and other district level, block level Tournaments.
e) To evolve a National Wheelchair Cricket Team, Leagues for National/ International Championships.
f) To organise national & International Leagues in the country.
g) To support the infrastructure and equipment requirements (accessible Indoor/outdoor courts, dormitory, accessible toilets, gyms, sports wheelchairs etc.,) for the persons with physical impairment for playing wheelchair Cricket.
h) To be the sole competent authority of wheelchair cricket for men and women in the country.
i) To control and maintain the classification of players, issuance of player identity cards, player classification cards and regulates the transfer of players from one club to another.
j) To follow an anti-doping policy in accordance with the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA).
k) To frame the rules, code of conduct of Wheelchair Cricket in the country and to make alteration, amendments or addition to the rules of cricket whenever desirable or necessary.
l) To sell, manage, mortgage, lease, exchange, dispose of or otherwise deal with all or any property of the Association;
m) To collect funds wherever necessary, borrow with or without security and to purchase, redeem or pay off any such securities.
n) To organize matches in aid of Public Charities and Relief Funds.
o) To lay out any ground for playing the game and for other purposes and to provide pavilion, canteen and other conveniences and amenities in connection therewith;
p) To acquire movable and immovable property and to apply both the capital and income thereof and the proceeds of the sale or mortgage thereof, for or towards, all or any of the objects of the Association;
q) To appoint Committees from time to time for organising matches for the achievement of the goals of the Association and to utilise the net proceeds thereof towards the implementation of the objects set out herein;
r) To appoint representatives on the national and international Conference and other Conferences, Seminars, connected with the game of Wheelchair Cricket or with other activities associated with wheelchair users.
s) To employ, appoint executive secretaries Administrative officer and assistant secretaries, clerks, managers, coaches, professional cricketers, umpires, scorers, statisticians, grounds men, peons, servants and other service personal and staff and to pay to them and other persons in return for their services rendered to the Association, salaries, wages, gratuities, pensions, honorariums, ex-gratia payments and/or provident fund and to remove or dismiss such employees.
t) To start and maintain a library of books, periodicals on Sports in general and Cricket in particular and to start journals or journals on cricket. It will also aim at maintaining a museum/ gallery of old, gifted, unique items etc including souvenir.
u) Generally to do all such other acts and things as may seem to the Association to be convenient and/or conducive to the carrying out the objects of the Association.

Objectives

a) WCFI shall ensure the financial stability by raising Funds, collecting fees and accepting contributions and subsidies and ensuring that all resources are used solely to further the aims and objectives of WCFI strictly following the principle that WCFI is a non-profit organization; and by Implementing promotional events that involves communication, public relations and demonstration program to instil awareness to the general public of the benefits of Wheelchair Cricket.
b) To take all steps by lawful means which may be necessary for promoting supportive legislation or other action affecting aforesaid objects and in general to take the initiative to assist and to promote Wheelchair Cricket
c) To maintain a documented statistics/history of the wheelchair cricket.
d) To promote amicable and courteous relations between Clubs, officials, members and players;
e) To take any measure that is appropriate in order to prevent violations of the MOA and byelaws, the Internal Regulations of WCFI, the Official Wheelchair Cricket Rules and the Official Player Classification Manual.
f) To accept, receive, purchase, take on lease, or hire otherwise acquire any movable or immovable property or any rights or privileges necessary or convenient for the purpose of running WCFI.
g) To enter into any arrangement, agreements with the Government, municipal, local or otherwise that may in consonance with the society’s objects or any of them and to obtain from any such Government or authority of rights, concessions and privileges, aid, grants, donations, financial or otherwise, which the society may think fit and desirable to obtain and to carry out exercises and comply with such arrangements, rights, privileges and concessions.
h) To undertake or execute any trust the undertaking of which may seem to the society desirable either gratuitously or otherwise.
i) To have power to establish offices or agencies in the country.
j) To do all such acts and things which may be conducive for the preservation, furtherance and expansion of training, coaching, and conducting classes for Wheelchair Cricket for person with physical impairments in the country or incidental to the attainment of the above objects or any of them.
k) The income and property of the association whenever derived shall be applied solely towards the promotion of the objects of the WCFI set forth in this Memorandum of Association and no portion thereof shall be paid or transferred directly or indirectly by way of dividend, bonus or otherwise or by way of profit to the members of the association.
l) And, to do all other incidental and usually necessary things that are needed for the attainment of the above objects.
m) The benefits of the society shall be open to all persons irrespective of caste, religion, sex, sexuality, etc.
n) The society will not function with a profit motive.
o) To foster and nurture partnerships to promote disability sports such as other adaptive sports e.g. Rugby, badminton, basketball too.

Programme Activities

1. To organize wheelchair cricket tournaments, series and matches in various part of the country
2. To evolve state level associations on wheelchair cricket
3. To strengthen wheelchair cricket by organizing conferences, seminars, training workshops etc. for state associations, district level clubs etc.
4. To organize selection camps, trials and training sessions with experts.
5. Creating awareness on healthy life styles and stress management for aspiring players.
6. To provide periodic training to players, coaches and referees.
7. To support State Level Wheelchair cricket teams based on the Competence and performance of the players.
8. To create a syndicate of trained and qualified wheelchair Cricket coaches and referees.
9. To hold competitions at various levels in sports/games.
10. To develop literature on wheelchair cricket in India.
